Swiss watchmaker replica Omega has unveiled a timepiece that celebrates the rank and regalia of James Bond. Known as the Seamaster Diver 300M “Commander’s Watch” Limited Edition, it sports colours of white, blue and red.
The 41mm stainless steel case features a blue ceramic bezel with a diving scale and red rubber covering the first 15 minutes. It has a dial of polished white ceramic, as well as 12 blue indexes, the word “Seamaster” written in red and blue skeleton hands.
Other unique features include the 007 gun logo counterweight on the central seconds hand and the number seven in the date window which is coloured red, while all other numbers are blue.
The NATO bracelet is blue, red and grey and follows a five-stripe pattern with a polished buckle. On the wave-edged case back, the three stripes of the naval insignia are featured on the rotor, along with a 007 bullet design.
Limited to just 7,007 pieces, the replica watch is driven by the OMEGA Calibre 2507. It comes with a three-year warranty and is presented in a special box that has been inspired by a military medal case.
The box also contains a stainless steel bracelet, a changing tool and a “naval pin” that mirrors the design of the NATO strap. Additionally, the “Commander’s Watch” also comes in an 18K yellow gold model, limited to just 7 pieces.
Omega replica has been the choice of James Bond since 1995, when the spy first wore a Seamaster watch in the film GoldenEye. Since then, the two have shared every on-screen adventure together.
This year marks three noteworthy anniversaries for the Bond franchise, which includes the 50th anniversary of You Only Live Twice, the 40th anniversary of The Spy Who Loved Me and the 20th anniversary of Tomorrow Never Dies.
In each of these films, the British secret service agent can be seen wearing his official military uniform. It is James Bond’s rank and regalia that has inspired the “Commander’s Watch”.
